Chrisy BAwesome Boots - My daughter is 7 and she loves these boots. They are weather proof not water proof! Some people seem to not understand the difference between the two. They keep her feet warm while protecting from the elements, but if she goes and plays in a puddle of water of course they are not water proof you can tell this by the design. If you know what you are looking for your child will be fine. I did get them a size larger than what she normally wear because of course she will wear thicker socks with a winter boot.
