Beware. The 748 was one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I ordered the same size (13-4E) as the 748 but find the 749 to be very uncomfortable. To me it seems like they changed the curve of the last to where my big toe pushes on the side of the shoe instead of being free to move. I wear the 749\'s to work where I put on my steel toed shoes which are more comfortable. I can\'t go on long walks with these shoes like I could with my old ones.

Excellent after short break-in period - I have wide feet, and an extremely high instep, which makes buying any shoes that are comfortable extremely difficult. I've had decent luck with Florsheim in the past, so I gave these a try. I really like the contemporary look, which works well with jeans and/or business casual attire. They felt very tight across the instep for the first three or four times I wore them, but they eventually stretched to a point where they are now comfortable to wear for a full day.

Purchased as a gift for my father. Shoes were at least a half size larger than standard but were reported as being "comfortable and looked good." Liked the style and the comfort of the squared toe.

Nice shoe!I purchased these for my son. He has wide feet and likes how these shoes fit. The look is great. The quality of Florsheim is consistently good. The brown color goes well with casual jeans or dress slacks. We did order two different styles in two different sizes because of Zappos' wonderful return policy! I've ordered from Zappos for years with confidence that if the shoe doesn't fit or I don't like it for any reason, the return is hassle-free and the credit to my account is prompt.I've recommended Zappos to many friends as well!
