Finally, a cute dark brown boot that fits my small calves!I have had a heck of a time finding a dark brown boot- and especially a dark brown boot that fit my small calves. This stretch boot is perfect. The material is not leather, but it does not look fake or shiny. The "croc" design on the sides makes the boot unique. The heal height is comfortable and I can stay on my feet all day. The fact the toe is not pointing, but is still fashionable, gives my feet a break. I have been wearing 9.5 shoe sizes for the past 2 years due to the pointy toe styles, but this style allowed me to go with a straight 9. A terrific, stylish boot and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a form fitting, brown stretch boot.

Great looking shoes!I bought BOTH the black and the dark brown as I could not decide which ones to buy. I finally found high boots that fit my thin legs. Most of the ones out there are fairy big on the calves and didn't look right it they weren’t hugging. They are not easy to take off. The only strange thing is the black boots are a 1/2 size smaller than the dark browns, BUT the dark browns are tighter on the calves than the Black ones! They look really nice with skirts/dresses!

As Always - Another great Franco Sarto Boot - My purchases of Franco Sarto shoes & boots have always been well worth the purchase. They really are the only shoes in my closet. Therefore, I am somewhat of a biased reviewer because these shoes always fit my foot beautifully. I have a wide toe bed and narrow heel area and these shoes are just fantastic for me. These boots were true to form. I ordered the brown ones & they were a lighter shade of brown than I anticipated, but I now will have to buy some different lighter brown clothing to go with them because the boots look great & feel even better! Also as usual, Zappos is the best for looking, reading other reviews, purchasing, delivering & free shipping. Zappos & Sartos make up my entire footwear collection!

Very pleased!I stumbled onto Zappos and am so glad I did! I have a very hard to fit, foot. I am a narrow shoe usually... skinny feet and skinny calves. I have tried all season to find a black fitted boot that FIT, and none of the conventional stores had any that worked. I came looking for narrow sizes... and ended up being fit PERFECTLY in the Franco Sarto Timber! (And it's not a narrow boot!) The customer comments were great... that's what did it for me; they told me it was a narrower shoe and great for skinny calves! I had wanted leather, but I don't mind the look of the synthetic after I saw it on. My husband liked it for the fact that it was the cheapest of the 3 I tried! Still amazed I ordered and sent back boots 3/2 times in less than a week! Love Zappos!

JenniferBeauty of a Boot - As the others before me have stated, these boots are perfect of thin calves. I had received another brand of boot for Christmas and was not thrilled because they did not fit tight around my calf. These Franco Sarto's are great. They are quite comfortable. They did rub the high arch on the top of my foot, but I only wore them once. I am sure they will break in nicely. They are a little faux looking, which I am OK with, knowing they are, indeed faux. I have seen much worse. In a nutshell, go for it. Buy the boot. They are worth it.
