A lot of fun, but painful in the beginning - I must say this shoe makes walking a lot of fun. I have three boys and they got Heelys for their BD. I couldn't stand not having fun as much as they were having. I am 34 years old and was a bit skeptic about getting some for myself. I am so glad I did! All of us go to Sam's together and we have a blast shopping! It took me about two days to get the hang of it, but after that it becomes natural. The only negative thing is since you have to lift both front of you feet to skate, you are working a muscle on the outside of your feet that you've probably never worked before. The pain is unbearable; you just got to keep on wearing them and make those muscles stronger. Other than that, a great way to have fun and move along!

All Heelys - Well, I have Heelys, but its time to get new school shoes. I’m interested in Heelys for my shoes again. I need grind plates because I do 12 foot vert and I can do frontflips, 360s, 180s, 540s, and many other tricks. I’ve considered the pro Heelys team, but I need to learn to grind so I can try out. I gave 3 star comfort because I have tendonitis in my right foot and with Heelys I get very sharp pain in my heels now, but it went away when I got gel packs for my heels and now its fine. So a suggestion is to get gel packs for your heels and comfort rating is 5.

Can't wait to Heely - Just want to let you know how excited my son was when he got his Heelys Torch the next day. He already has a pair of Heelys but he outgrew them. So when he saw this pair he had to have it. And he even bought it with his own money that he works hard for. Mind you he is only 7 years old. Love your site!!!

Nice.I use these to enhance the speed and enjoyment of my commute through the big city. They take a while to get used to because you have to stay on the heels of both feet in order to skate along. I started out mostly walking, and only rolling when I felt good about it. Once you learn where the balance points are (and remember that the wheels are there), it's pretty easy to transition from walking to rolling easily and safely. They're a lot of fun. It's sort of like a low level flying. I find that when I'm wearing other shoes, I keep wanting to push off and wheel along but am instead grounded. As far as fitting sizes, these were a gift and they are about a size and half too big but fit fine, and I have no problems with them. Interestingly enough however, I have had friends try them out successfully whose sizes range from 6 sizes smaller than the shoe to a size larger. Make what you want from that.I do find that they were NOT made for walking. When I spend the majority of the day walking and not heeling, the balls of my feet start to hurt. This isn't internal pain or cramps or anything, just the pain of too much friction between my foot and the shoe. It may very well be a factor of wearing slightly older socks and the shoes technically being a little too big so that there's room for my foot to move around inside it.Hope some of this is helpful.Wayne

Glad I bought them...THE BEST FIRST EXPERIENCE!!!I'm 33, and considered a big kid anyway. But, my girls who have been Heeling for a bit asked me to buy some so we could cruise around Wal-Mart together. So, I did, fell on day one, but am fast as ever now. The shoe, itself, is very appealing to the eye and goes well with all casual wear. I keep the wheels in most of the time, and don't have many comfort issues, but when with the heel plugs in, they are a great everyday wear shoe. The grind plate is a nice touch, haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet, but, soon will. The skate park near our house was a great place to really test them out a bit...smooth and fast! Will be buying other styles to fit my personal decor! Skate on!!!!!
