Man, I love these shoes!Wow, I wore this shoe all day today, no break-in needed and my feet feel good! It fits snugly around my mid-foot, but plenty of room to wiggle my toes, just the way I like 'em. I am back on Zappos today to order another pair, different style. I did follow the suggestion to get a half size larger and it fits perfectly. It is a funky looking shoe, but so comfortable. And you can't beat Zappos customer service. I love it here.

Donna RGreat shoe for problem feet!I have heel spurs due to plantar fasciitis and much pain as a result. These shoes are the best I have found. I do not even need to use my custom orthotic inserts!NOTE: A lot of people say the shoes run small so I ordered a half size up. Mistake! When they arrived they felt fine but quickly loosened up and now seem a half size too large. Boo-hoo!

I bought this shoe to wear walking in Ireland- and even with wool socks, my feet were unbelievably wet and cold and that was while riding in the car! Though they fit well, and look great, I end up with wet, cold feet every time I put them on. My guess would be they don't breathe well. I figure I can wear them for a few weeks in the middle of summer- I find them too cold even to wear around the house!

CarolynGreat for Touring Vaca - I bought these shoes for a touring vacation of Austria & Bavaria that included lots of city walking as well as alpine hiking. Despite little "breaking in" the shoes were comfortable from day 1.

KrisHelped recover from surgery - After foot surgery, I needed a firm sole that only my day hikers seemed to provide. My running shoes were too soft. The Boston is the rare shoe that is deep and wide enough to accommodate my bulky custom orthotics, and yet dressy enough to wear to work. I like them so much; I'm going to buy the Bronx next! My only wish is that they were vegan. By the way, what everyone says is true: order 1/2 size larger than you really are.
