disappointed!I loved these shoes so much, I bought them in two colors. They are extremely comfortable. But... after walking outdoors in them for less than two weeks, the soles are already very worn. Also, because of the design of the soles, small stones stick in the small cracks, which are very annoying and make noise when the stones scratch the floors. I washed them, and the stones didn't come out, so I had to dig them out with a knife. Not something I'm willing to do every time I wear them outside, so now I will use them as house shoes. Beware if you plan to wear them outside! If you plan to mostly use them indoors, they'll probably work out fine but I expect a lot more from a comfort shoe.

Totally NOT your dad's shoe - Rockports, to me, are old people shoes. No offense to old people, but I never think of them as anything close to hip. (When I tell people they're Rockports, they look aghast! "Dad shoes?!" they say in disbelief.) These came up in a search I did and they are, in fact, hip, even in the sometimes ridiculously hip San Francisco. They're also comfortable. And breathable. I would love more arch support, but then I pretty much always want more arch support. The perfect summer, city shoe.

Rockport Marci - I bought the white suede. It is not a true white, more like a very light ecru color. I am old and have trouble getting them on with anklets, but they go on easier with bare feet. I find them very comfortable after I get them on. I like the idea that they will wash in the washer when needed.

I have this shoe is 3 different colors - This is an excellent shoe. It is airy light and if feel like you are barefoot. There are times when I wear a close toe shoe in the summer to protect my feet. This shoe is great when you don't want to wear a sandal.
