Stride Rite's Superballs Wide But Little Padding - My son needs extra room in the toe area because his toes tend to cross, and these are wide enough in the extra-wide size and do not slip on his normal-size heel. But, there is very little padding (although they do not hurt him). The top is almost all leather, with no ventilation holes, so they are warmer than I wanted in a spring shoe. The Saucony that we also tried was more padded, lighter, less leather, cheaper, and he could run faster. However, it came to a point in the toe, like the traditional running shoe style, so it didn't work for him. Tip: look at the top-view Zappos provides to see the shape of the toe box, if you need shoes with wide toes.

Will you really jump higher?My son seems to think so...he bounces everywhere in his Superball shoes. The width in these Stride Rite shoes seems to be more narrow than typical. My son usually wears a regular or a wide and we had to get these in an extra-wide.

My son picked these out. He has wide feet, and they seem to fit him just fine. He's proud of the looks, too. He wants to get them in blue, too.

Better than the picture - Great pair of sneakers. My son has an extra wide foot the Superball Lace affords flexibility in width. Very comfortable. Slightly longer than expected. Otherwise a great fit!
