Great exercise! My son loves the shoe. I'm not sure if he really does jump higher as the commercial promises, but he thinks that he does and he has gotten a lot of exercise trying!

Superstar Superball - These are awesome. Comfortable, easy to put on, stay on. Best choice for a 7 year old boy.

Superball - My 4 year old son loves these. They fit well and he can put them on himself.

Great look, skimped on materials - We like this shoe. My 4 year old son loves the orange details and the super balls in the sole. However, he has a very wide foot and even in the XW size, I find the tongue a bit narrow. It just barely covers the top of his foot. The velcro is a bit short as well. To get his foot in the shoe, he has to pull the velcro out of the loop and then slide it back in once the shoe is on. I also find the velcro a bit too narrow for fast dressing. He gets frustrated putting this shoe on himself and often asks for help. I don't think a narrower foot would have these issues. We have had greater success with other XW stride rites (although I think all their velcro is too narrow once we got over about size 8).

I tried these in a W and XW for my 5-year-old son who has wide feet and sensory issues. His previous pair was a Tsukihoshi pair. After the Tsukihoshi’s, he found the Stride Rite toe box to be too snug, even in the XW (and his foot is a W, not an XW). In addition, his heel slipped in the XW. So, we're sending them back. He loves the Tsukihoshi’s, which are softer and have plenty of room in the toe box. I just wish I liked how they look... It's so hard to find nice looking boys' shoes in wide widths!
