The Best Shoe for a New Walker - We got these for my daughter just as she was walking and summer was arriving. This was her only shoe all summer and they were great. The closed front keeps playground wood chips and dirt from going into the shoe, yet the openings keep her cool as cool as if she were wearing a sandal. As a new walker they were the perfect balance of flexibility and stability, and I love the ease of the Velcro. They even looked cute with church dresses. Worth every penny... She wore them with cute argyle socks well into the fall. I'm now a big Stride Rite fan.

Great for new walker - Our daughter walked at 10 months and since then she wore Bobux slip-on shoes. They were perfect and we LOVED them until now, at 12 months, she is starting to get good enough to walk around outside all over the place. Many of the shoes we tried on her were so clunky and she couldn't even walk in them. She went back to crawling! The other problem is that so many shoes are made for babies with fat feet and our daughter has a little more narrow foot. This shoe is great! She put them on and instantly started walking around in them. The shoe is still a tiny bit wide but it seems to work just fine. The sole is flexible but is still sturdy enough to wear on a wood chip playground. The best part is that they look so cute! They are a perfect blend between a sandal and a sneaker and the closed toe prevents lots of extra junk getting in her shoe (especially on the wood chips). Our daughter will wear these all summer for play and with casual church dresses. After much research, and my amazement at how many shoes come in 12 months sizes that a 12 month old has no business wearing. New walkers really need good technology that Stride Rite seems to have. We'll be repeat Stride Rite customers for sure!

I love this sandal. My 9 month old daughter never tries to take them off, and they stay on very well.

Euro look from Stride Rite!These shoes have been fantastic for my daughter who is has been walking for about a month now. They provide support, yet the leather is supple enough to not be too restrictive. They also are stylish and look like shoes that cost much more!

Infant shoe - A great shoe for cruising. My girls each have a pair and they fit great. We've worn them outdoors in water and mud and they seem to clean up well.
