Good shoe - This shoe was generally good. The heel was too loose, mostly because the opening was overall too large such that my heel slips up while walking. The insole is very cushiony and the outsole is quite stiff - a real bonus in a hiking shoe. I was wary of buying a shoe that didn't have a Vibram sole, but this sole is definitely as good. I have relatively narrow feet (but still wear a B shoe) and these are probably better suited for wider feet. I normally wear an 8.5 and I ordered a 40 which fit well. I may keep these; I haven't yet decided. They are comparable to the La Sportiva GTX-XCR (though much cooler looking) and stiffer and slightly less comfortable than the Vasque Mantra, which I am comparing them to.

Not comfortable - This is supposed to be designed for a woman's foot, which generally means a wide forefoot and narrow heel. However, in this shoe my toes were pinched, my heel slipped out, and my instep was squeezed. Granted, I have a very narrow heel and a high instep, but this shoe didn't seem to fit anywhere. It was also very stiff, but that may get better with wear. Also, I normally wear an 8 in athletic shoes, but I had to order a 7 (37) in this shoe to get the proper length.

Great color, a little stiff - Firm support for hikes, a little stiff for around town.
