Not impressed! These shoes look great and felt great...for the first week or two. I bought them because they seemed light and sufficiently padded. They are light but I am not impressed with the padding or the arch support. They seemed to break down after three weeks and now are completely flat. I have been an adidas response fan for the past 15 years and I think I will have to stick to that. This shoe is light and would be perfect if it would have held its support in the sole. Mine also squeaks whenever I walk on it... annoying after paying this much.

Be careful - I am the reviewer who switched from New Balance. Since I can't edit my former review, I'm posting a new one. Even with the insoles they do cause me to pronate. I used them extensively on a recent trip and this minor pronating caused me to get the iliotibial band syndrome in my left knee. Since I can't return them after using them, I'm going to limit their use to casual around town wear.

Cute and light!I've been buying New Balance trail runners since 2001 (7 yrs). However, their common SL-1 last always makes the toes of my larger left foot hurt. I can't go a size bigger because of my normal right foot. (I'm bummed because I like that they support the Komen foundation--I'm a survivor.) I decided to buy adidas since I know they fit me well. These have a roomy toe box and cause no pain! One thing I found weird is it feels like I'm pronating a little (these are listed as neutral to under). I fixed this by changing out the insole. The standard insoles are too hard for my taste anyway. These are also lighter than the NBs, which was a pleasant surprise. BTW, I don't actually trail run, but I do hike and like trail runners for that purpose, as well as casual shoes.
